For the last unit, Tech and Ethics, we watched a few movies regarding identity fraud and online harassment, as well as completing tasks regarding each movie. As shown in the image here, this was an analysis I completed for the movie "The Net". The movie was about a computer hacker, who went on a vacation to Mexico, where she met a man, who then stole her wallet, stole her identity, and almost killed her. After waking up in the hospital, the woman had no official identity, her house had been sold, she owned no car, and she was given a fake name. Apparently, she had a criminal record, which was not the case before the fraud. She works to get her identity back, and successfully completes that task by the end of the movie. As shown in the image, this was the analysis I created, and this was only one of the assignments given in the unit of Tech and Ethics.
Here is the link to an article regarding how to prevent identity theft. The article states different ways to help prevent identity theft, as well as statistics. This article is very important and related, as it was written very recently. It states how you shouldn't give out your credit card numbers to any site, checking your account before paying the bill, securing your social security number, securing your password, as well as many more tips. Overall, I think this article is very helpful and definitely provides good pointers.

Another article that I am going to link is about a TV star who stole another person's identity for "financial gain". Karen King, star of "Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta", was recently convicted of scamming another person for financial gain. She arrived to promotional appearance, and police were already there ready to arrest her. She committed the crime last year. She got arrested because she walked into a store, and spent around 5000$ worth of objects under another individual's identity. I think that the crime she committed was very unethical and illegal, and I am happy to see law enforcement arresting these individuals for the crimes they commit.
